Virtual Isle of Man Help page

This website now uses GyroVision to host all of the panoramic images. This prevents most problems as GyroVision test their setups and provide alternative technologies to allow nearly all web users to view panoramic images.

This site requires either java enabled in your browser or the quicktime plugin installed

Quicktime preferred

This website offers high quality full-screen 360° spherical panoramic tours (that means you can look up and down as well as all around).

Tours are available in quicktime format (in addition to Java format) and you may prefer to have the quicktime plug-in installed on your computer (most people already have). Quicktime is free and there have been 330 million copies of Quicktime 6 downloaded (we are now on Quicktime 7). If you are having trouble viewing the panoramas then you may not have the plug-in installed. Please visit the site below to download and install:

Get Quicktime

Quicktime is required to view the panoramas on this website. Please download the plug-in from Apple's website. Click on the logo to the left. This file is quite large so modem users may have a bit of a wait.

How to View

1. Use the thumbnails provided to locate the panorama that you wish to view.

2. For a 'full screen' panorama click on the image or on the 'full screen version' link below it.

3. Modem users may wish to click on the 'small version' link to view a smaller, quicker loading version.

4. Once loaded, and you should see the image starting low quality and improving as the data downloads, use the following commands:

Drag with the mouse - Rotate the panorama to look up, down, left or right

SHIFT key - Zoom In

CTRL key - Zoom Out
